Indiana Department of Transportation Business Information and Technology Systems, GIS Mapping December 31,2004 SUBDISTRICTS_INDOT_IN vector digital data withheld SUBDISTRICTS_INDOT_IN SUBDISTRICTS was created to provide a digital coverage of the INDOT management subdistricts for the state of Indiana suitable for use in a GIS. It was derived from existing digital data sources. en SUBDISTRICTS is a polygon layer showing the INDOT management subdistricts. The mapping units include the district name and district number codes and the subsidtrict names. Alignment of data to USGS DOQQ's, acquisition dates between 1998-2000. For further information on the DOQQ's refer to USGS metadata. Accuracy of alignment to photo base is (+-) 3-5 meters. Revision 6/29/2007 consists of the Fort Wayne District subdistricts being realigned and the Warsaw sub being takenover by the Wabash sub Revised 8/28/2007 to reflect new alignment between Crawfordsville and Greenfield Districts and the Tipton and Frankford Subdistricts. Approval by INDOT Deputy Commissioner Michael B. Cline on 8/27/2007 Effective October 19, 2009 the Subdistrict boundary between Indianapolis and Bloomington Subs on SR 37 will be relocated to the Marion Johnson County Line. Efective 5/11/2010 the subdistrict between LaPorte and Plymouth has been revised transfering responsibility of US 30 between US 35 and SR 23 to the Plymouth subdistrict. Per Derek Oswald. The changes to Seymour were reviewed and approved by Kathy Eaton-McKalip, and became effective January 1, 2011 . The changes for LaPorte were submitted, reviewed and approved by Oswald, Derek effective 5/24/2011.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Revision to the Fort Wayne SubDistrict boundaries effective July 1 2012. The Wabash Unit 4 has been moved from the Warsaw Subdistrict to the Elkhart SubDistrict as Unit 2. The revised boundaries was provided by Eleachea Sanders vie e-mail dated Friday, June 08, 2012.</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>There has been a recent changes to the Sub-District Boundaries in LaPorte. The Plymouth Sub is being removed and the Units have been Absorbed into LaPorte and Winamac. These changes were completed per request from Derek Oswald in e-mail dated 1/8/2013. </SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN /></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>New Changes to Fort Wayne Subdistricts. </SPAN></P><P STYLE="text-indent:20;margin:0 0 0 20;"><SPAN><SPAN>Starting the week of January 20</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>th (1/20/2013)</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>, the Fort Wayne Highway Maintenance (HM) section will be adjusting from five subdistricts to four. The subdistricts that remain will be Elkhart, Fort Wayne, Wabash, and Bluffton. The units of the former Angola subdistrict will now be part of the Fort Wayne and Elkhart subdistricts. Angola unit and Waterloo unit will be part of Fort Wayne. Brimfield unit will be part of Elkhart. In addition to the above changes, the Laud unit that is currently part of the Fort Wayne subdistrict will be making a reporting change as well. Laud will now be part of the Wabash subdistrict .
