Indiana Annual Average Daily Traffic Counts created as an ESRI Polyline Feature Class. The data set was compiled by Road Inventory and Traffic Statistics sections of the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) . Dataset is classified as sde Feature Class. The Feature Class is projected Coordinate System: NAD 1983, UTM, Zone 16 N. The Projections is Transverse Mercator.AADT \u2013 Annual Average Daily Traffic. The number of vehicles estimated to travel on a segment of roadway on an average day. This value includes all vehicle classes. In most cases, it is derived from data collected over a period of 48 hours to which factors are applied to account for the day of the week and month of the year. When vehicle classification is not collected, a factor to adjust for the excess vehicles caused by multi-axle trucks is applied. For locations where data was not collected in the current year, an Annual Growth factor is applied to the most recent data to estimate a current year value. The factors are developed from data collected at Continuous Collection sites across the State on a variety of road types.AADT_SU \u2013 Annual Average Daily Traffic of Single-Unit Vehicles. The number of vehicles from the AADT that are classified according to FHWA Scheme F as 4, 5, 6, or 7. Such vehicles are characterized by two or more axles on a single frame. The number of vehicles from the AADT that are classified according to FHWA Scheme F as 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, or 13.
