The purpose of the Planned Pavement Sections is to provide a place for the districts to log pavement sections that are not a reality today, but are anticipated to be necessary at a stated point in the future. For example, if you have a project occurring in the 2 years that will have different limits than the existing PKs, you can log those proposed PKs and then when it is time, they can be imported into the Pavement Sections feature class and retire the old PKs. This will allow us to continue to assign work to maintenance or SPMS until such time as they are replaced. |
